Magnum Blade Salyer was born in Cape Town, South Africa. He does not have dual citizenship, as neither one of his parents is a citizen or a permanent resident of South Africa. He was born on his mommy’s birthday as a special gift from God. So far, he can hold his own with his big brothers. Magnum did come from the show Magnum P.I. We were reminded of that show and started wondering where they came up with the name “Magnum” and then realized how perfect it would be for one of our children. So Magnum is similar to the Latin word, “Magnus” which means “large” or “great.” And Blade, although referring to the sharp part of a knife, is also from the Old English meaning “glory.” So his name means, “Great glory.” He loves to read just like his brothers. Magnum is very proud of his green eyes and loves to play with Legos.
